Community

Alameda Point was originally an airport site known as Airdrome, and was built in 1927, one of the largest naval air stations in the world at the time. It became a major operational hub during WWII, and following a decline in activity after WWII and the Cold War, the station was officially closed in 1997. In 2013, the U.S. Navy transferred 1,379 acres of the former base to the City of Alameda, which has been developing a variety of projects. These projects include transit-oriented community with housing, commercial space, parks, and waterfront access, while preserving historic buildings and protecting local wildlife.

The city of Alameda, California spans 2,200 acres, and in it contains many fun activities to do with friends and family! With events like the West End Flea Market held on Saturdays, or the Friday Art Walk, there is always something to do in this bustling city. If you're looking to enjoy some time indoors there are places like the Historic Alameda Theatre and Cineplex, Rhythmix Cultural Works, and the Alameda Museum are all great places to have fun and even learn something while doing it! If you prefer the outdoors or exploring wineries, breweries and more there are many options to choose from, like the Rock Wall Wine Company, Building 43 Winery, and multitudes of golf courses and marinas to discover! Our Alameda storage units are conveniently located near the hub of cities of Berkeley, Richmond, San Francisco and Oakland.

Our Alameda storage facility is also a Kure It certified location, actively participating in efforts to raise money for cancer research. Kure It, established in 2007 by US Storage Centers Chairman Barry Hoeven, was founded with the purpose of raising money for innovative research directed at types of cancer that receive little or no funding for research.

This is your best bet for storage in this area. They have great pricing and a secure lot. They also have great customer service. The Property Manager Tiye went above and beyond for my boyfriend and I so we could get our truck parked and secured. There was a technical issue but she called and made arrangements for us so we could secure our truck before our flight even though we were in a time sensitive situation.

Met the owners today and they were very friendly and easy to work with as we rented both a storage and a parking spot. Competitive prices.

I have had a storage unit here for a few years. It is convenient, and space is easy to access. It does get hot in summer. My vinyl records got bent. Dust is also an issue, not terrible, but as it's built, I'm not surprised. No rodents, which is fantastic. I wish they stayed open a little later, but all in all, it's satisfactory due to its price and location. I'm staying in there.

The staff is very responsive and helpful. This, coupled with the really great location makes this definitely a better value vs others in the immediate East Bay Area. We stored our camper there and it was secure and we never had to worry about it. 24/365 access via keypad is a great feature as well for the higher frequency camping months. They almost always have specials too, which makes things much more accessible especially given the cost of things in the area. Our experience was very positive, we highly recommended.

It is what it is, storage units in different sizes. My monthly payment is $140. My husband and I haven't had any problems with this storage facility. It's reasonably safe and secure. There is a business on site. If paying for storage fee in person, one can get assistance at the window. Due to pandemic, one cannot enter the office to take care of business.

Been using them for a few months and I'm pretty happy. The lockers are old and cheap but sound. They're a few centimetres smaller than they advertise, though, so check the actual dimensions before planning how to arrange your belongings.

Been storing my things here for a couple of years now without any problems and occasionally our car in their car storage lot across from the main facility. Most of the staff are very nice and accomodating especially the manager Regine....she's the bomb...tell her Richard sent you...haha

It's the cheapest place I have found to store my gear. Everything about it is bare bones from the people that work there to the storage units themselves. I thought I wasn't going to visit my stuff more than once a month but I ended up visiting once a week because it was so accessible. Note that you can't access the gate after the sun goes down.

We try to keep things simple to make storage more affordable. If you don't want to pay for fancy lighting or the storage company's beautiful office, then we are the storage facility for you. Thank you for your response Darwin.
