A. We accept cash, checks, Visa and Mastercard.

Q. How long do I need to rent a storage unit?
A. We offer storage rental on a month-to-month basis. You are never locked into a long-term lease agreement.

Q. How do I make my monthly payment?
A. You can choose to pay in person, online, over the phone, or through mail. We also have automatic payments available.

Q. Do you offer discounts or promotions?
A. Yes! We offer special pricing and promotions for new storage customers such as one month 50% off. You can find our promotions by searching our unit selection above. Each promotion can be found next to the unit pricing and amenities.

Q. Do I need to bring my own lock?
A. Customers are required to have a compatible lock if they choose to purchase their own. Locks are also available for purchase at our facility.

I just rented a unit here and the move in process was easy & simple. Ryan walked me through the set up, how to find and access my unit. I do wish the access hours had a wider range than 12 hours during the day, but I knew that going into the rental process. Will update if there are any other developments.

Ok, here's the haps. For a storage facility, this place is pretty great. I love the staff, Its temperature controlled, well-lit, the elevators are nice and big, and it is secure... like, I haven't heard a peep about any issues in the year+ I've been here. They have big carts, the bathroom isn't atrocious, and it is relatively clean. The downsides: 1. The hours can be tricky. If you only have evenings free, it will be hard to navigate. 2. Your rate will nearly double every 6 months. That is pretty industry standard, though, so, don't hate the player, hate the game.

Super helpful staff, helped me when I forgot my key, always friendly. The storage center is clean and temp controlled, cool even on the third floor on 100+ degree days in the summer. Only downside are the limited hours, but this is why I chose US Storage on division. I felt that the earlier close time (6pm) ensured my things would be safe. Thanks!

I’m a first time renter here and Carlos made the experience of getting a unit incredibly fast and simple. Both the location and staff are great, and I’m very happy I decided to try them out.

He was incredibly helpful and even gave me a heads-up that the unit I was eyeing might get snatched up quickly—and he was right! By the time I went to book it later that day, it was already gone. Luckily, I was able to reserve another unit the same day, and Carlos helped me move in a few days later. The facility is so clean and secure, I feel great about keeping my things here. Even though I travel from NE, this is my favorite storage center because of the excellent service and great online deals. If you're considering getting a unit here, act fast before it’s gone!

Very pleasant experience with Ryan (a real people-person imo) setting up a unit yesterday! Very thorough, patient, informed, friendly, and I feel went a little above and beyond for me- it was much appreciated. They are definitely an asset to this business. I've used four other different facilities (in two cities) over the past decade- this place is BY FAR the most advanced in their entrance requirements and security features. What a beautiful facility! Super safety conscious-coded loading bay, coded door into the facility and coded elevators. Unit was super clean, with walls that went ALL the way to the ceiling! I’m moving my stuff from another to-be-unnamed- orange colored storage company because their units design allowed someone to break into my unit. Well with THIS new unit, that will NEVER be a problem! Both of the office staff have gone above and beyond to help me and explain how their facility works, and the sign up process was so easy- all on line! I couldn’t be happier with my experience here.

Great place! Climate-controlled options, clean, well-managed, easy to access within access hours, and I trust that my things are safe and secure. It does have more limited access hours than other nearby storage facilities, but it’s worth it for the extra security.

I have been renting here for two years and I just love it ! ,the customer service that I’ve received has always been amazing . Amber is so helpful with explaining my bill and always being able to help if I need to transfer to a new/ different unit. This is one of the cleanest storage facilities I have utilized within my lifetime, which is impressive considering the location and surrounding activity. Stranded possessions and trash are quickly removed and the bathrooms are tidy. The site is getting a lot of attention from the staff. They clearly appreciate the broader connection between cleanliness and security that is engendered by this level of ongoing vigilance. My unit practically sparkled when I opened it for the first time! The best prices are offered to those who pay online. If you are in a rush, I would recommend at least pausing momentarily to consider your real insurance needs before proceeding. That being said, when I encountered a frustrating and untimely obstacle while attempting to access the information I required from my insurance company in order to make an appropriate decision, Amber resolved the dilemma with promptness and grace. Celeste was very accommodating. She allowed me to stop by the site and tour the facility with a measuring tape before committing to my choice. This was incredibly important to me as I am tiny and had no idea who would be available to assist me in the moments leading up to my move. I was also curious about the dimensions of the entrances to several units—a point of concern that eventually proved to be crucial to the success of my endeavor. She was quite understanding. I happen to know Celeste personally from a previous job—I chose her as my assistant manager—and can vouch for the fact that this degree of consideration is not specific to our shared acquaintance. She is an incredibly warm and pragmatic human being who will happily attend to any sincerely expressed and legitimate need. I have never rented from US Storage before, but given the competitive pricing and overall cleanliness, this is a choice I will probably be making again in the future. I have already recommended this company to several friends. My move was fast, smooth and surprisingly upbeat… Access hours recently shortened significantly and I might suggest the company consider at least extending those new hours to 7pm on weekdays. **This is the exiting portion of the review following the closing of my account: very satisfied with my experience, which provided everything I required. Amber is on her game. Approachable, thoughtful and down-to-earth, she even cared if my truck was okay as I struggled with a broken mirror (granted, I had been a customer there for quite awhile at this point, so we had become familiar with each other, but still—it felt good to know that someone was truly watching out). The new staff members are attentive and responsive. My exit was seamless as they anticipated my needs.

Super friendly management, easy process!

I searched for an affordable storage unit and these are the most affordable prices in this area. Placing a hold on a unit through the website was easy. The next day I received a call from a representative who helped me pick the correct size unit and we discussed a convenient location (I didn't want to be too far from the elevator). She did not pressure me to pay for anything over the phone and understood that I wanted to see the facility in person first. When I arrived I found it to be in clean condition and ample parking was accommodating. Amber showed me a clean, good sized unit, and it was not far from the elevator. We went back to the office to complete the paperwork which was straightforward and quick. Immediately following that, I was loading up a cart with my stuff. The cart fit about 9 plastic bins and I was able to maneuver the cart in and out of the elevator and hallways easily. With the rising crime in this city, I really like their 6am-6pm hours of operation. This storage facility is clean, secure, convenient, affordable, and has helpful staff.

I really appreciate Holly and Amber. They were kind and efficient and made sure that we felt welcome. While unloading a 26' uhaul, a couple of us were standing at the door to make sure the rest of us were able to load an entire house full of items, and Kendall (who I guess is the asm SOMEHOW) came over and was incredibly rude to us in his delivery of the fact that we would be fined $50 for keeping the doors open. While I understand that there are rules, the delivery of this message was out of line. He was absolutely unkind. When I went to return a cart that I had rented to the office, I also attempted to let him know that his delivery of this message was rude. He doubled down and interrupted me and was rude again. Then as I turned to leave I saw that on his computer he was playing a video game, I was interested and asked him what he was playing and he responded that he was working on personal stuff. 0/10 for Kendall. What a jerk.

We moved to SE Portland & found US Storage Centers off Powell. The facility is clean & feels safe. The parking/loading area is easy to access and unload from. Amber is energetic, charismatic & helpful. We arrived 30 min before closing and she was so kind to let us stay 15/20 min late to unload our u-haul, for which we were very grateful to avoid having to extend our rental and park overnight!! Overall, this storage facility is wonderful and feels safe and has lots of options. I was able to easily set up auto pay online. The only downside of this facility is that it is only open certain hours and you cannot access it after-hours. So you have to pay attention to the opening hours! But the bright side is that there’s always someone on property during open hours. Overall one of my fav rental facilities I’ve rented with ✨

The office and site look new and are very clean. The employees are friendly and helpful; all of my questions were answered. My unit is inside and can only be accessed with my unique code. It is also climate controlled, which means it is heated in the winter. In the summer, due to the concrete construction, the unit will stay naturally cool without A/C. The prices are comparable and the location is a 15 minute easy drive.

Even though I do not have a storage unit myself sorry facility. The gentleman that assisted my friend with her unit and his customer service was phenomenal. I was really shocked, or more or less thrown off guard. walking in to use the restroom and was greeted with a smile, no attitude or judgement as quite often happens, and no hesitation to point out right where the restroom was. I also was shocked at how genuine he was when he helped my friend and how at ease she was at the end of the transaction due to his deligent work ethic and great vibe he brings to the company.

Amber Strickland the site manager made it to where everything I own didn't get auctioned off. She really is an awesome manager and a good person. I would recommend us storage centers to all my friends family and strangers as well to check them out. She really gave me the feeling like she actually cared I was about to loose everything I own. The facility is well kept very clean nice and warm inside so no need to worry about ur belongings molding. I've been with these guys well over a year and other than the access hours closing at 6 pm I wish it went back to 9 pm. Either way that's obviously for safety reasons and making sure ur belongings are safe and storages not broken into, other than the access hours thier is absolutely nothing I can complain about. And once again miss Strickland u are an angel sent from above I can't thank you more for being the rock star u are.

I use the storage center off of Powell and 62nd. I have two units and when I rented my second unit, it was in the middle of the month thus I wouldn’t be able to access until the 1st. Amber enthusiastically showed me the unit and invited me to start using it as soon as I wanted. It was empty, clean and no one was renting it at the time. She gave me a key and was so helpful and pleasant. She always says hi to me by my name and genuinely seems happy to see me. She’s always willing to go above and beyond for the customers. She’s my “go to” person at the storage center.

Amber Strickland at 6191 South East Powell boulevard Portland Oregon 97206 was very helpful. When I asked for TV boxes she said no that they did not have any for sale. PolitelyAsk me to wait for one moment. Went in a back storage area for one moment. Came back out to TV boxes. And told me that I didn't have to pay for them. When I told her I wasn't able to carry them in my car I would have to come back with the truck the next day she told me she would save them for me and she did. She was awesome. I just rented a 5 x 7 from Amber who is a joyful and sunny person. she’s just happy and here too please. There is a couple hidden fees that were a surprise to me, but I guess those are everywhere. This building is very secure and I will be comfortable Storing my belongings here.

Amber was lovely. She was professional, friendly and apologetic to us for the wait. When I found out she was working alone I felt great compassion for her and was even more Impressed by her ability to manage multiple things at once. I spoke to someone on the phone who was helpful, but It would have been good for them to pass on to me that Amber was down a staff person. She did let me know Amber was busy cutting locks which didn't give me a true picture of situation. All in all Amber's professionalism more than made up for the wait. She was detailed and very clear in her explanation of how to navigate the key and elevator, also showing us where the restrooms were. A plus service. Carrie - SE Portland

it’s clean and fit my stuff but they randomly stopped letting people enter to get their stuff after 6PM… the lady left me stranded there with my mirror that was unable to fit in my car and when i tried to get back in to return it to storage unit, she wouldn’t let me in… in the midst of moving, the last thing u want is a surprise like this so make sure you call before you go because im not sure what the hours are anymore.

Stopped by US Storage location on 62nd and Powell saturday afternoon to check out access as I drive a large pickup. I wanted a large unit on ground level. Celeste was very helpful and answered all of my questions. It looked like access could be cramped with multiple vehicles in load/unload area but it was a saturday. Returned on sunday to rent unit. Kendle was working that day. He walked me through process and got me set up. Both employees were very professional. Sundays access to load/unload area was nearly empty. I am retired so I can use weekdays for ease of access.

Joseph was awesome to work with from start to finish. He got our reservation together quickly and listened to what we were looking for before making some very well thought our recommendations. He got us into the unit same day and at a great price. Highly talking to Joseph for any storage unit needs. The facility is also nice and well maintained. Only had the unit for a month but so far it has been as advertised and a pleasant experience.

The location is great and the building is very clean. Lots of parking and very secure. Greg assisted us and was very nice and helpful.

Just got back from my first visit. Signed up online, then made a quick trip to their onsite office to get my security code. Very friendly staff. They walk you through the facility and show you where to enter your security code to gain access to your space - once to park, once to get inside the building, and one if you need to take the elevator. Very secure and clean - it's a brand new building. And I like how convenient it is - right on Powell Blvd.

We checked out several nearby storage units, and chose Extra Space Storage after visiting their website and noting that their location would be easy to get into and out of. The icing on the cake was the easy no-contact process of picking a unit and renting it online. Not to mention, the free first month! Once we signed up, Johnny sent us a map with full instructions on how to access our unit. They even throw in a free lock! The place is very clean and well-lit, so we feel completely safe there. This will make storing the extra stuff from our basement a breeze, and I can finally have a man cave down there! :-)

when I arrived I was impressed with how the site was designed to accommodate a variety of vehicles such as full size moving trucks as well as a few cars. it was clear where to park when you're brand new. I had problems reserving the unit size I needed and never got a confirmation text or phone call. I was feeling a little anxious about that but Johnny (i believe it was) assured me right away it was no problem. he showed me the unit I thought I'd needed and then one that better suited my needs and budget. I was immediately impressed with the practically sterile cleanlines of the brand new facility and the level of security was reassuring considering all of the uncertainty in the world world still. renting the unit was very quick and easy. I don't just say this without meaning it, I would totally recommend them and I'd feel confident that the same should be true for all of their locations. the Profesional atmospheres and service is indicative of a well run company that knows the importance of consistency and quality of customer service. on a 1-10 they scored an 11!

Everything was very straightforward and easy to complete online, so I didn't even need to go into the office which was great. Only surprise is they will hit you up for insurance in addition to the advertised cost of your space, so expect that. The facility is clean and nice. Only reason I haven't given it 5 stars yet is because we haven't moved in yet so I'm reserving that last start till I get the full experience.

I needed immediate storage and this place was close. The staff were quick in giving me a tour of the place and setting me up with a unit. I only needed the unit for a month. Access to the building was convenient with the hours being 6am-10pm, so I was able to get in and out when needed. Staff was nice, place was clean. At the end of my month the check out was quick and easy. My only gripe would be the bathroom. There should be access to the bathroom for customers. There is nothing WORSE than having to go and not being able to. I had to literally run next door to the bar and pee. I’m pretty sure the requests for the bathroom aren’t overwhelming and it wouldn’t take much to clean between customers. I know you can let people use them, I work in a public place that offers restrooms. That’s the only reason I’m giving four instead of five stars.

I needed a same day storage unit. I logged onto their website and reserved exactly what I needed. Within a few minutes I had reserved my unit, and got access to the facility. I love the clean, brand-new space...friendly manager. Hours of accessibility are being curtailed in most storage spaces. I have access 6am to 10 pm. Easy in and out. But also, very secure. My last storage had 2 break-ins, with theft. Not going to happen here!

update 8/8/2020: The developer of this building is based in Texas. They cheaped out on their sprinkler system and the trees along 62nd they planted only months ago are dying. Neighbors like me are now watering their trees so they don't die over the summer. Water in Portland isn't cheap, too bad the developer was. Original post: This is a new facility and immaculate. Exterior was well executed and probably one of the best looking nouveau storage buildings in the city. Units are internal and seem extra secure. Sarah was incredibly enthusiastic and helpful which made the lease up experience pleasant. I was surprised that they require insurance on your stored items, which you have to purchase through them and it really just feels like extra unadvertised fees. They also have a maximum of $10,000 of coverage, which will cost you over $40/month. I have also received two emails, a text, and a phone call prodding me to leave this review. I've had the storage unit less than a month, so I can't say much about the long term.

Using Extra Space Storage new quick lease method was one of the easiest processes I’ve ever used. It was laid out in a very straight forward way and once I completed the process, I was immediately called for a thank you and even more explanation about the storage unit process. I highly recommend this process during the times of social distancing as it allows you to take care of all paperwork without being in the same room as others.

I signed up online using my phone and was having issues due to my phone so I called the facility and the site manager answered who was very pleasant and beyond helpful during my frustration. He was able to accommodate my needs and answer my questions. I called 4 mins before they closed and he did not rush me or have a bad attitude and even offered to stay for me to come to the facility to complete my rental agreement that I was having technical issues due to my phone. Luckily we got it figured out and he was able to get out of there on time. He definitely went above and beyond and during a time like this.
