I lost $30 in trailer rental, 2 hours of wages, and had to load and unload things multiple times because I wasn’t notified that nobody was going to be around during business hours on my move in day. Debit card got flagged for fraud and cancelled because online system had 3 charges, some of $0. Overall by day 1 I had approximately 4 hours of time wasted through all aspects of my interactions with USS.
I have enjoyed my experience thus far with US storage. However, they should provide better pricing or deals for commercial clients or all clients if they are willing renting multiple spots or spaces

The storage units are clean and safe and protected however the tripling of the bill from $80 for two units to $250 is horrendous! 😔

Big problem has been communication. Emails did not get through and despite efforts to correct, still had to pursue several times. This happened with verification of insurance. We sent a copy of our insurance but it was not recorded so were changed for your insurance (later removed from bill)
I like us storage until u find out every 3 months you guys double my rent . I don’t think it makes sense to double tenets rent and start new tenets for quarter price and free months rent don’t make sense I would have stayed for years !!

I've had many issues renting with US Storage. I needed a second unit, and I was given a different size than what I ordered and paid for. I've had issues setting up autopay for my second unit, and now after about a year...I still am not able to set up autopay on the second unit. I also would not refer a friend because of the substantial and arbitrary increases to rent that I've experienced way too often in my short renting term. Newest increase (set to incur in June) is a 38% increase. That is unacceptable to me.
Not very good at all as price increased over 75% which is unacceptable
I feel like we experienced a bate and switch with respect to pricing. The monthly fee has gone up significantly. So much so that we are actively seeking a new storage provider.

We had to call 3 times to get our unit canceled. Kept getting emails about being late with our payment. Finally got it taken care of
I felt like this places is running shady business practices. You all advertise prices and get promotional offers that entice a rent to use your services. After 4 months the rent basically doubles and exceeds what another company would charge monthly. This is done via email and not via text or auto update. I didn’t notice until my card auto charges and saw it was double than my agreed amount and again was only notified once via email about the double increase. That is completely shady and this location is very selective in how they sell you a unit.
Absolutely worst customer experience in my life. Gate was broken for over a month (despite multiple calls to office telling them about issue) allowing thieves to walk in and steal catalytic converter from my box truck. Cost me $8,000 and over a month to replace. Your management team offered me 1/2 month off of rent as compensation.
The location and layout of the outside storage lot is great. However, like most people, I feel it is overpriced to pay for a parking spot outside.

The units I've rented were clean & ready for me. The entire facility is relatively new & very well maintained. Generally the employees have been variously courteous & helpful.
My biggest issue is trying to pay my bill online, I seem to have a problem every 2-3 months, the pay by phone isn't always helpful either, but these issues would not be the fault of this location, it's a company software problem.
I would recommend this location to anyone looking for storage in the east metro & Western WI. They also have secure outside storage for boats, campers, motor homes & there's even a company that keeps their mid-size truck there!

My work trailer was broken into because the front gate was not working. The gate had not been working for months. They stole my construction tools and I missed work because of it. I was met with apathy when I discussed the situation with the site manager and US storage corporate. The only compensation I received was my previous month's rent returned. Which took several weeks.
Very good. Professional. Easy to work with. The only improvement I would suggest is snow occasionally blocked the door/entrance to my unit.

Not sure what to say. The place is good. I've never had an issue. I pay my rent. Go there, get my Pontoon, have a day. Then go put it back in storage. No problem. The place is clean. Plenty of room.
In order to get my stuff out in time, I had to chip away the ice and snow. Took me about 45 minutes to break door loose.

The facility isn’t secure though we have been paying for security since the beginning of our contract. The lift gate has been broken for months and people come and go as they please.
I am not a fan of the security gate being open regularly and the consistent increase in pricing with new rentals being a lot cheaper. I understand the promotion but it's quite an increase for loyal renters.
It was the worst experience I’ve ever had with a storage center. My storage unit was broken into and my safety deposit box containing very sentimental and personal items such as my birth certificate, ss card, photo negatives, high school diploma were taken along with two laptops containing priceless photos. The manager never informed me that the gate had been broken for quite a while and anyone could enter. Also, I was told cameras were on site when I rented the unit but found out when things were stolen that they are only outside the door and the manager said he could not find any film of who took my things. While I received an insurance reimbursement it does nothing to replace my sentimental irreplaceable items. No one has reached out to me to truly apologize and take responsibility.

The worst, took cover off my cars before heil. & empty my car gas tanks.😡 claimed they had camaras but didnt recorder where my cars were & the front gate didnt work most of the time i had my cars ther. So anybody could get in.
Overpriced rents, inconsistent rents, constant rental price increases. Terrible property management. Doesn’t take customers property seriously. Not a secure property.

The rental price has been raised twice in one year. That seems excessive considering the lack of security with the access gate broken and open for at least 9 months from the time we rented a year ago.
The storage center itself is clean and nice. We did have trouble, however, getting different messages from individuals while trying to sign up. We also couldn't get ahold of anyone on move-in day (as I was driving a U-Haul from out of town, I finally had my son drive there to deliver a message in person). Also, we were told we would receive a refund check (the refund amount was indicated on our exit printout). We waited 90 days but didn't receive the check. I called and they said they would expedite a check, but we still haven't received -- will likely have to call again.

The entrance gate has been broken at our US Storage facility for more than 6 months! Unacceptable! In paying for a SECURE place to store my camper and boat. We should get a portion of our monthly fees refunded due to the lack of security that we ARE PAYING FOR.

Large spacious, clean unit that was perfect for my needs.
It was great until you kept raising my rate. My rates have come up 20% over the past year. New customers are getting a cheaper rate than I am as an existing customer. As soon as I can find a different place, I will be leaving.
In most part, it was a very good experience. The gate was left open so anyone could just drive in, so this made it not a secure place.
Staff was helpful and friendly. Unit was clean with a tight garage seal. Had personal property stored for almost 8 months and had no issues.

Your prices were high prior to 2023, then you jacked prices much higher on 1/1/2023. I made it a priority to find different storage arrangements as soon as I could.

I have been waiting on a prorated refund that was promised to me on 12/2/22 when I moved out of my unit. I have called at least 4-6 times and have been blown off every time. I’m always promised the check in the mail and it never comes. I’ve asked for the regional manager and nobody has followed up. I’m planning on stopping in this week to try one more time and then I’ll need to leave a google and yelp review reflecting my experience.

It was excellent! Jennifer was exceptional in her customer service from the initial contact through the end of my rental period. It was a very difficult time for me as my mother had just passed away and she made the process extremely easy and efficient, which was greatly appreciated. I could always rely on her assistance for any question or need I had.

My brother in law had his indoor heated storage broken into twice with major theft. This is not safe for people to store their items, not even indoors!
When we started with you in March 2022 the place was clean. The floors were clean. The drive lanes were plowed completely and doors were easily accessible.
The security gate was always closed.
The last several months none of these things have been happening.
The floors are dusty, dirty, stained, and clearly not being attended to.

There is less than 1/2 the drive lanes being plowed.

I was so happy to move from the nastiness of Public Storage to a place that took pride in their facility and cared about the people paying their bills promptly every month.

Please bring the facility back to the high standard it once had.
The price increase that was delivered earlier this year and only a 30 day notice was difficult. Although it was likely contractual, it’s really not enough time to react and plan as a renter accordingly.
Something like say 90+ days or an on 1/1/23 notice would have been much easier to swallow for the community and a suggestion might be to look at how the apartment community abides by notices too.
I am very happy with US Storage Center. The place always seems very clean. It is easy to get in and out. Have no complaints.

On site manager although pleasant appears to be totally incompetent! She was unable to resolve an errant charge for insurance when I had provided written proof of my own coverage. Her incompetence resulted in my being charged for two months of coverage with apparently no hope of recovery. Such a simple thing but yet much frustration for me. I am convinced that she regularly lied to me about the issue to cover her incompetence!

Snow and ice management could be better in winter...while the areas where users drive is clear, the snow is often packed up against the unit doors...I should have to bring a shovel to get to my unit. Also, the roof drains melted snow and ice right by my unit so even the few steps I have to take to open my unit are dangerous.
My experiences with US Storage have been very positive. Tiegen is excellent to work with each time I’ve needed assistance. My only concern with this location is security. Two full sides of the location are 6 foot chain link fence that seems to be a potential area for a person with bad intentions to breach.

Rented 2 indoor units for household items between moves, one was 10x20, the other was 10x10. Pricing was better than other storage places with similar features. Units were easily accessible, temperature controlled, and well lit. Location was convenient and staff was friendly and helpful. I would definitely use US Storage in the future should the need arise.

Very easy to get in and out and the representative listened to out needs well. Also was the only facility we could find that we could get in an out 24 hours a day as we had a boat we liked to keep on the lake later at night.

Overall great experience. Easy to get in and out of my storage unit. Staff very helpful. Only issue is that the door I use to access sometimes won’t “stick” to the magnetic holder to hold the door open. Also, sometimes there is not a cart at the door. as it is shared with 2 doors, the staff told me, so I had to walk a ways to get it. Bathrooms are closed when office is closed, which is not usually a problem, but could be.

Start to finish, they made everything easy. I love that they had climate-controlled rooms accessible from outside so our moving trucks could pull right up to load and unload. Nice staff, convenient location. Snow removal is a bit lacking...when plow comes by it pushes snow to outside leaving deep snow piled against the roll up door which I have to kick away with my shoes because I shouldn’t have to bring a shovel with me in my car.

Well, since you are using the past tense and I still have a storage unit, I am a tiny bit worried. So far all of my expectations have been met. The facility is clean and the people who work there are friendly.

The unit was in good shape, nice office staff, and reasonable rates. The one thing that I didn't like was that in the contract it stated that to cancel a unit you need to cancel in person in the office. My husband had emptied out our unit mid month and removed the lock. I went up a week later to sweep out the unit and cancel our contract. When I got there my gate code didn't work and when I spoke to the office worker I found out that they had already rented out my unit to someone else assuming that we had vacated. It would have been nice to not have to make the trip up there.
