I purchased a unit to rent month by month from this company yesterday (3/26/24) for a reasonable price. My first payment was actually 50% off due to a promotional offer, which was very nice. It is fairly easy to arrange it all online or in person at their office. Since I attempted to do this online in an area with extremely poor reception, I had to go into their office in person, which was a very welcoming, pleasant, experience. I was promptly greeted with very helpful, knowledgeable, and polite employees. They assisted me to complete the process and even went the extra mile to physically give me a tour of the facility, showed me where my unit is, and even gave me a map to keep for personal records. I appreciate the staff employed with this company at this facility as well as the feeling of security and safety of my belongings and myself. I chose to go with them because the entire premises is fenced, it has an entry gate that requires an access code, all units are inside climate controlled, and everything is under 24 hour video surveillance. All of these factors certainly give me a piece of mind so I definitely recommend them to anyone who is interested in a storage unit to rent without the stress of a binding contract. This is definitely the fanciest storage unit I've ever experienced. Price was far better than I expected. Temperature and humidity control, highly secured, monitored, and the staff has been pleasant to deal with. My unit is on the second floor, which I thought would be a hassle. However there are multiple heavy duty carts and an electric freight elevator. The other thing that impressed me is they have an enclosed unloading area, which I imagine would be able to accommodate most moving trucks. It's pretty huge with garage doors. This has been really nice for the winter months.

I have used this storage facility since it was called Lakeside Storage. From the beginning the office staff has been nothing but helpful and willing to answer any questions you may have. The facility is kept clean and our buildings elevator always works. I have a climate controlled unit and I’ve never had issues with the temperature in our area. Even when I had a question/concern recently I was helped quickly and my concern was taken care of. Payment is easy with automatic payments and I’m even able to carry my own renters insurance through my preferred company.

The ladies in the office are very helpful. They suggested movers to use and were able to arrange 2 storage units in the same building. The building and storage units are clean. Elevator in good working condition. Security cameras and gates are monitored. Thanks ladies.

In the last 5 years with US Storage my rent for my unit has almost doubled. I keep submitting my insurance but they charge for insurance anyway. Their facilities are nice and heat regulated but you’re going to pay a pretty penny for it.

They work with people in need especially that are down and out and that need help with storage they are wonderful place to store your belongings any size units you need from small to large wonderful comfortable climate controlled access from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. only the loitering or anything else at this site please be mindful and corroborate with their rules this is a wonderful place to be thank you

Very friendly staff. Easy move in process . The unit is a good size an very clean.

Under new ownership, the building is definitely not as clean, gates often out of order and prices keep going up. I have reported twice that the light stays on in my storage locker and nothing has been done to fix it. (The light should go off when the locker door comes down).

Very friendly staff, my only issues are beyond their control, it is a corporate thing. 1. Quote did not include a $29 fee that supposedly is charged to initiate any lease in Minnesota ?? and 2. That proof of insurance is required or a "contents protection" fee will be charged which was also not disclosed until I signed the lease. I don't blame the staff as I am sure this is a corporate edict to drive incremental revenue. My insurance agent provided and additional insured rider for the storage facility on my builders liability policy for my house at no added charge.

Polite staff with a clean and safe environment to store my items. Plus I can easily access the unit and pay my bill.

At first I was reluctant to book a unit on the second floor, but that was quickly dispelled as the freight elevator (which holds three rolling carts) made it a pleasurable experience. This is the cleanest storage facility I have ever seen and the employees were the friendliest. The only negative is that you have to walk up to the second floor and cannot ride on the elevator (8 steps, landing,11 steps). It was a very small inconvenience. Everything else was Stellar! You won't be sorry.

I have used other storage places around Duluth and this is the BEST one I have ever used! Amanda and staff are the friendliest I have dealt with. This storage facility is the best facility for storage you will find anywhere near Duluth, period. Your things would be safe here. Equipped with a high, heavy duty gate, heavy duty doors you must use a code in order to get near any units. The whole facility is under surveillance. These people know how to properly run a storage service.

Definitely one of the nicest storage facilities in the area. Pull through garage and elevator for easy loading and unloading. Units are very tall and can fit a lot of neatly packed things. Very secure, even the bathroom has a code required for entry. Customer service was also great.

Great service and facilities. The grounds are clean, the units are reasonably priced, and the units truly keep your precious cargo and memories secure for your return. The staff has a way of not only being professional and diligent, but making every interaction feel both natural and charming all at the same time. Bryan greeted me when I arrived to check out the units. He went over the different options with me, and ensured that I had the correct size unit. He showed me around the facility and where the best place to load/unload our vehicle was. He was able to answer all of my questions. He went over the contract very carefully, whereas a lot of places just ask you to sign. I also appreciated that we were allowed to pre-pay for a year to lock in the price as we know we will need longer term storage. We have moved in all of our large items, and the unit appears to be a perfect fit. So far, we are happy!

Monthly without the freeze

US Storage is the premier storage facility in the Twin Ports. I’ve had multiple units at various times and have only had positive experiences. Safe, clean and easily accessible units with multiple sizes. Facility has carts to use to help transport your items. Staff are professional, responsive and kind.

The heated, climate controlled units are clean, and the property is well kept! It’s the best place in town to store your things!

As a newcomer to renting a storage space, I had a lot of questions and concerns leading up to our move-in day, but all were smoothly put to rest either via the US Storage website or Amanda at our site location in Duluth. She was so friendly, didn’t make me feel like a burden for asking questions, and once she learned we weren’t experienced renters, she happily explained everything, including the sections of the rental agreement, very concisely. Then she gave us a walk thru of the facilities/our unit while explaining the unloading/loading process and security. There are several fantastic qualities that stacked up that will keep me coming back to US Storage: 1. Friendly service 2. Indoor loading/unloading vehicle space 3. Trusted security inc cameras, codes, and security personnel making rounds 4. Accessible bathroom for customers near unit 5. Clean and well kept spaces, meaning no burnt out lights or broken latches 6. However you want to submit your monthly payment, you can choose. My preferred is an easy online auto-pay. I’m so happy we went with US Storage Centers and would absolutely recommend 10/10

Good indoor storage. Not sure about pricing it's a friend's utin but was very large and you can drive right into the building to get to your unit I thought that was VERY convenient!!!

Very secure storage. Front desk staff were great and know how to treat customers. You cannot ride the elevator with your things and must walk up and down the stairs if your on the second floor. It is very convenient to have a restroom on site (pointing this out because it took me a few months to find) Note: You must have renters or obtain some type of insurance. 5 stars for great staff, security, and clean restroom. P.s. don't forget to give your notice to vacate when your almost ready to leave.

We have traveled from as north as mn south as fl west as az and east as tn for work. We have used storage buildings all over the place. This storage building has been the best. Access to security, price and cleanliness. 100% recommend.

Of course they are pricey, but driving a truck INSIDE, to your large, climate-controlled space, is worth it! Take into consideration how tall the units can be, and utilize it accordingly. My space is more than 12 feet tall. And listen to the knowledgeable staff - Tracy will explain all the details, give you great pointers, and answer your question.

Amy went above and beyond to help me out. When I arrived, the doors had just opened for the day. I was the 2nd through the door and was helped immediately. Got to the unit to discover it to be a VERY CLEAN storage space.

We called almost 10 storage facilities in the area looking for a climate control unit. Everyone was fully booked, including US Storage, but US Storage quickly got us on the list and let us know what to expect. We quickly got in a unit once being placed on the list, and the paperwork process was nice and easy! Amy was super awesome, and very helpful!!!

We rented a unit and I must say we received world class service. Amy was a joy to work with and made the process super easy. The customer service was really second to none and the tour was very fun!!!! You need storage go see Amy it will be well worth your time!

Absolutely the top of the line storage facility in the area. The security at US Storage on top of the climate controlled units is unlike any place I have seen. I highly recommend speaking to Amy if you have any inquiries, she is so knowledgeable and has the best customer service I've seen in a long time. This is a very nice, clean and well maintained facility. The staff (especially Amy) are professional, helpful and have taken excellent care of all my needs. The climate controlled units are awesome to keep all your stuff like new! I really like the accessibility and how secure it is as well. Highly recommended.

The above written soon after I rented which would have been in May of 2021. Now Feb. 2022 and my things have finally been moved out and again I give US Storage Center in Duluth my highest rating. The moving out of my things and the closing of my account could not have been easier/more simple. While present for the loading I didn't participate so asked the movers if they saw ANY indication of mice or anything else undesirable. ABSOLUTELY NOT. They were not from the Duluth area and seemed genuinely impressed with the facility and the security. Not inexpensive but well worth every dollar and again the experienced/knowledgeable, warm and extremely helpful office staff made the rental smooth and easy.

The facility is VERY clean, well kept, and secure. I helped one of my boss's load and unload things several times over the years from his storage unit at this location. Pros - clean enough to eat off the floor - warm and toasty - nice storage units Cons - nothing Ask for Amy she's really friendly and easy to work with!

I was in need of a unit on a weekend within a few short days and Amy was great! She helped size one based on my items so I wasn't over paying and was just a peach to work with! She held the unit for me for a weekend while waiting to hear back from my sister who had space in her basement. I didn't end out going with US Storage Centers only because my sister pulled through, but based on the customer service, I highly recommend them! Also, having heat controlled and secured units is a plus in my book!

I have been using this facility for over 10 years. It is the Cleanest, safest and most efficient place I have found in the twin ports. The staff is A-MAZING!! I couldn’t ask for a better place to trust with my belongings!

The units themselves are great and even though you have to enter your code a lot when visiting, it is well worth the extra security. I love how well lit it is inside and out and all the cameras and code access gates makes for a very safe feeling. I like the new payment options, especially the auto pay so now I don’t have late fees.

I have a storage unit here and the place is very clean, secure, maintained exceptionally well. They are a little bit expensive but I think the added security is worth it.
