A. We offer rental on a month-to-month basis. There is no long-term lease required.

A. Absolutely! We offer special discounts and promotions for first time customers such as "50% Off 1 Month." You can find these offers listed above and in between where it states the unit size and the price.

Q. Do I need to bring my own lock?

A. Customers are required to have a compatible lock if they choose to purchase their own. Locks are also available for purchase at our facility.

I would recommend renting from this facility because Kendra the manager was very kind and beyond helpful, she really went out of her way and took some of her break time to help me load up my belongings and push the second cart to my unit because I was in a hurry and she definitely didn't need to do that however I appreciate that she did! The manager, Kendra Wallin, is one of the best storage facility managers. I have used a few different storage facilities before and no manager has ever shown they truly care about their tenants the way Kendra does. Her kindness and care have made me feel so good about storing my important possessions at her facility while I am traveling in an RV. I know my things are well taken care of with Kendra and I know if I need anything or have any questions she is always ready and willing to help in any way she can. If you’re looking for a storage unit I definitely recommend this location!

**Updating my review. Kendra reached out to me and offered support to try to help ease the increase. She did everything in her power to assist and try to get me the lowest possible increase. I’m giving her 5 Stars for her effort and follow up, thank you Kendra! The 3 star rating is an updated reflection of US Storage centers as a company. Property Managers should be given more control over customer courtesy’s for their direct tenant’s.** I’ve been using this facility for about 5 years now. Recently moved to a smaller unit this summer and not 2 months after my promo rate was up I get a notice that they are almost doubling my rate. I’ve never had a rate increase this quickly. I’ve emailed and called and left a message about this and no one has bothered to reach back out to me. Also seemed to add invoice fees that were not part of the rental agreement and was never notified of the change.

This Lady is the best at her job, how her brain works and fix problems so easily. She’s an angel and I’m gonna tip her $50.00. Thank you so much

Great price signing up for my unit. Better priced than other places

UPDATE: I spoke with the property manager today (Kendra) and she let me know she had appealed and negotiated my rate to lower than it currently is. She indicated the rate increases are determined by computer, and she regularly pushes back on these types of increases. I'm increasing the review to 4 stars, and hopeful that I won't have to deal with this situation routinely every 6 months. Time will tell, but the management at this location do work with you on issues, so that is nice to see. Original review text is still below. They have now attempted to increase my rate twice to +80% of what it was previously. Last year at this time they attempted, and backed down to a lesser amount. The fact that I could rent a new, BIGGER unit, for less than I currently pay (even without their 50% off first 3 months promotion) is still a little absurd. It appears this is the way they do business, get you in the door at a low rate, and then hike it up massively going forward. I would have recommended them prior to this latest attempt to raise my rate to $124 from $70, but cannot do so going forward. Shady at best business practices.

Original post 2019: US Storage Centers is an excellent heated storage facility with clean units, friendly, helpful staff, and reasonable rates. I highly recommend this facility! Update 04/2022: US Storage Centers-Crystal continues to maintain a standard of excellence and value. I have rented a unit on and off here for years, and I’ll always go back. New on-site manager Gina is the best, helpful, knowledgeable and very personable. Thumbs up! Update 11/2024: Just having terminated my contract with US Storage (because I no longer need it) I want to add that the termination went very smoothly, current Property Manager Kendra is kind, courteous and competent, and my property remained in great shape while in the facility. Once again, I’ll always use US Storage for any future storage needs.

I have worked for many companies over the years but my position with US Storage has been by far one of the most gratifying I have ever had. This company builds their employees up and trains us to be great leaders they know we can be. I started with this company as an Assistant Property Manager at our St. Paul location and once I told my mentor I wanted to move up to Property Manager she helped navigate me towards my role here at the Crystal location. I absolutely love managing this property and I do my very best to give the best customer service I possibly can to all of my tenants and prospective tenants. We have a position for an assistant property manager to go between Crystal and Fridley and encourage anyone and everyone interested to please apply!

There are X amount of storage units of each size in an area. If there are 12 - 10X10 units in one city, and 11 of them are occupied then they ALL increase in value, and [demand]. For those of you who lack an education and 5th grade intelligence: This is called [Supply and Demand]. Rental increases directly reflect the AVAILABILITY and the VALUE of a LIMITED number of any certain type of unit. This is basic economics 101. Cars, apartments, clothing, limited edition items. You have been taught this since kindergarten. If you cannot afford, the service. Go find it somewhere, but understand that the demand somewhere else, is probably higher. You will be extremely hard pressed to find a better staff, willing to go out of their way to assist you in times of need, and an on-site manager, who will go out of her way to ensure she can solve your issues with ease. This place is top tier. A little rough around the edges. But you could not ask for a better team of people to manage your needs. 8 out of 10

This is the best storage facility I've rented from and I've rented from Northern Wisconsin to the Twin Cities. I've overall had a good experience here. I found US storage Centers for my business needs 3 years ago, I just read a one star review and wanted to share my experience. I am not sure why anyone would have a bad experience with this facility I pay my rent on time and never have issues. I have 2 large units and I have never had issues with pests. I also appreciate Shayla the site Manager! she is very invested in keeping her facility clean and safe and I have never had a problem. This Facility has went above and beyond to accommodate my needs and my Business needs. The only issue that has came up was a person Drove through the front door and damaged it so they were able to have a quick fix so we could have our access un-interrupted and this was key for my Business to keep running and for me to feed my family! Thank you US storage and a special thanks to the site Manager Shayla!

I used this storage facility for 7 months (Sept. ‘22 - April ‘23) and had a great experience. Before signing the contract, Yuri kindly answered all my questions. I never felt pressured or like I was dumb for asking them. Shortly after moving my belongings into my unit, I realized that the overhead door did not lock and thus could be opened even though I had a lock on it. I informed the front desk, and a gentleman (I don’t remember his name) came to look at it. After a little back and forth on a solution, the facility had the issue corrected and I thankfully did not have to re-locate all my things to another unit that did lock. A few times when I stopped by my drive-up unit, there was another customers vehicle parked in front of my unit door which made access difficult. I still managed to do what I needed, but if there was a solution to that issue, that would be have made the experience even better. Lastly, if there could have been a no audio policy when in the facility, that would have been nice. When my Dad and I moved everything out of our unit, there was another customer that pulled in and had their music playing quite loud from their vehicle which was annoying. Besides those things, I never had any issues and my experience was overall great! The day I moved everything out, the lady at the front desk, I believe her name was Shayla, was helpful and kind. Thank you, Crystal US Storage, for a great storage unit experience!

I reserved a storage unit for my car for the summer almost last minute. Yuri was very helpful with helping me send him what was needed prior to my arrival. The unit that I reserved was the widest available at the time and my car may not have even fit through the door. I assumed that it would fit but he was concerned that it would not fit. A few days after paying for the unit, Yuri called me to tell me that a wider unit became available. I switched to the wider unit. I felt very appreciated and special that Yuri had me on his mind and called me. Today I brought my car to park for the winter and if not for Yuri calling me, I would be back at searching for a climate-controlled spot. Thank you Yuri! I've been to other storages buying out lockers and I've never been treated with such kindness as these two have shown me the 2 times I have been here cleaning out units. The property manager, was so sweet! Everything was self explanatory, and I was able to lease and start moving the day of!! Great facility and very nice people

My dad and I stopped by for a storage unit. I liked that the place was off main roads and had great security. Not only are there cameras, but individual gate entry codes and alarmed units. PJ was an amazing host, giving us a walk through and showing different units because we weren’t sure what we would need. Super courteous and patient with us, especially because we had a lot of questions haha. The facility itself feels new, was very clean, precautions taken for COVID19, and moving carts for use neatly lined up and easily seen. It has a drive in door, so it’s easy to transfer stuff from a moving truck. We got the storage space a month ago, and everything about them is easy and smooth. Highly recommended.

Myparents have a unit here. Managers Shayla and PJ are great. They really care and try to work with you on anything. Storage is always clean and you see them sanitizing all the carts and stuff when you come. Drive through building is AMAZING! Reallyhelps when its raining or cold... I love that you guys heat the building and always have a friendly hello!

This facility is in tip top shape and the service Shayla provided was above and beyond what i usually come to expect out of the area. I was so glad to find this facility as the U-Haul is just down the road, but the service is atrocious. Thanks again, will return as soon as needs be!

Sometimes people are not as cordial or friendly at the end of the work day and so it was very refreshing! I’ve used storage facilities before (including Public Storage - which is a HORRIBLE!! place to rent from). I must say, the customer service here (at US Storage Centers) is SUPERB!!! They will work with you to find the best rate for your storage. They are very sympathetic to those is us who are living on SS income and can’t pay until our checks arrive. I am so grateful to this company for their care, concern, and prices.

The management team here here are hands on and the facility is easy to access, clean, affordable and is well cared for.

Facility is clean and even clean bathrooms onsite. There is a slight musty smell but our stuff didn't get the smell. The staff is helpful and courteous if anything is needed.

My experience with Trojan has been great so far. They were very accommodating and allowed me to move in even past my deadline. Very understanding people and they are here to help. So far so good!

I had an incredible experience after a horrible one at another storage facility the weekend before. I was treated with respect. Dan was very helpful, courteous and kind. He answered all my questions, and made short work of the paperwork, etc. The facility is clean, well-lit and secure. I highly recommend it.

I do not like the fact that I cant be in the building longer then 30 minutes at a time and there is no access to a garbage to throw even a wrapper away. The staff is friendly and that is extremely important to me, I also do not like that fact my bill is due on the first of the month when I did not open on the first of the month and I was not pro rated. Seems a bit off to me The bathroom area is beyond superb, but to unload and be out in 30 minutes, using the bathroom would be pushing my time and then I may get fined $50. There are many rules and I feel as if I am walking on egg shells, I needed storage as i have cancer and me moving fast enough to clear 30 minutes has been very stressful on me. I think it should not matter how long I am at my unit, i am paying for it, and there are times I just want to be close to my things and memories. Thank you, Terra Sohns

We wanted a temporary storage unit to give us some space to work on house projects and have really liked Trojan Storage. Dan is super helpful and polite and makes the whole process easy. The facility is really nice as well. It's easy to get in to it, you can drive your vehicle close to your unit (all indoors) and there seem to be a lot of security measure. It's clean and climate controlled and spacious enough to drive even a moving truck in and have lots of space to move around. Overall it has been very easy to use. It's better than any storage unit we have used in the past.

Secure building, climate controlled, and drive-through convenience. It is great to get out of the cold weather and unload my belongings inside the building. Manager is on-site. A+++
