Facility Description
US Storage Centers of Torrance, California is a modern and clean self storage facility with the most up-to-date security system. Many of our customers say that they rent with us because they feel at home when they visit their self storage units, and they enjoy their interactions with our managers.
We believe that great customer service is achieved when you combine friendliness and knowledge. For example, we had a customer who was unsure of what size storage unit she would need because she had never used storage before. We invited her to tour our facility and assured her we would find the size that would fit her needs. She visited our facility that same day and we were more than happy to show her a variety of storage sizes.
What impressed her most was that that we took the time to show her five different storage units to make sure we found her the right one. She was able to see how knowledgeable our staff is, and she commented on the cleanliness of our property and on the security features in place. That same day we were able to rent her the appropriate size for her valuables, and we reserved a date for her to use our free move-in truck. She was so happy to know her valuables are being stored at our facility, and said she would refer her family and friends.

Convenient Location
Our facility is located in Torrance along the border with Carson. We are right off the 110 freeway on Carson Street. Our major cross street is Vermont Ave. With such a central location, we serve customers in the surrounding communities of Carson, Lomita, Gardena, Harbor City, Alondra Park, Lawndale, Wilmington, and Long Beach.
For those of you familiar with the area, we’re located less than a block from Harbor UCLA Medical Center, and we’re right across the street from In-N-Out Burger.
Facility Description
Our facility is made up of three buildings, and they’re easy to spot because of the light, peach colored stucco, with tasteful, turquoise stripe accents.
There is one extra-wide gated access point at the front of the property located next to the office. We have had semi-trucks enter with ease. The drive aisles are wide, allowing for simple loading and unloading, and a stress free drive.
Storage Units
The storage units at our facility come in a variety of sizes starting at a 5’ x 5’ units, for boxes and totes, all the way up to 10’ x 30’ units that are able to comfortably hold the contents of a four bedroom house.
If a unit larger than 10’ X 30’ is needed, we can make virtual conversions that will meet our customer’s needs. A virtual conversion means that we take two or more storage units, usually located next to or near each other, and create more space for you. This is a great option because it allows customers to compartmentalize their items. For example, you might pack all of your furniture in one unit, and in the other you can place items that you need to frequently access.
Our larger units are drive ups, which is like having a personal garage. The smaller units are located inside on levels one through three.
Spacious elevators and flat carts are available for added convenience.
Free Move-in Truck
A free move–in truck is available to use. It’s equipped with a ramp and a refrigerator dolly. Just let us know when you’re planning on moving in and we’ll reserve the truck for you.
RV Storage
We offer outside uncovered RV parking. Two optimal sizes are available: 10’ x 20’ and 10’ x 30’. Parking space width may vary from spot to spot. Please call the property manager for more details on Parking Space sizes.
Security
Our security features consist of 24-hour video camera surveillance. A tenant’s personalized code is entered into electronic key pads located at the gate to gain entry into the property. The facility is always well lit and has a resident manager for added security. High quality stainless steel disc locks are also available for an affordable price.
Languages Spoken by Managers: All of our mangers are fluent in English and Spanish.
Payments Accepted: We accept Cash, Checks, Money Orders, Visa and Master Card.
The Community
Carson and Torrance are beautiful suburbs, located about 13 miles out of Los Angeles. Many homes, restaurants, and shopping centers make up the community. The Del Amo Fashion Center, only eight minutes away from our location, is considered to be one of the top 10 malls in Southern California.
Locals also enjoy watching two Major League Soccer (MLS) teams, the LA Galaxy and Club Deportivo Chivas USA, as they compete in matches at the StubHub Center.
Today, the Goodyear Blimp has a landing pad in Carson that is a great attraction to visit, along with the International Printing Museum, which houses one of the largest antique printing presses in the United States. And another bit of interesting history: The area near California State University at Dominguez Hills was the location of the first air show in the United States. The Great Air Meet was held in January 1910 and it featured aviators from around the world.

Good experience so far. Reserved a unit on their website with a promotion of 50% off for first 2 months. I was supposed to rent the other storage unit nearby but they were not available at that time and on break and when we came here, they were available so it’s all good. They offer a free truck for 1 day but reservation is needed as well. Also, the truck needs to be returned at a certain time by the end of the day, so if you take the truck at 1pm, you only have few hours to return it, otherwise you will be penalized by a fee. Also, there is a deposit fee which is cash only. Because we are only about 1 mile from our place, they were generous enough to waive the gas as it’s super nearby. I’m supposed to fill the gas tank of how much I have used but it’s super near so they said it’s fine.
The storage unit was clean. The only problem I’ve had was not having enough carts to use as there were too many people who were using them at that time so I had to go to the other side of the building to get another one from that side.
So overall, it was good. My only complaint is they don’t accept American Express on their website as automatic payments. I thought I was on autopay, only to realize my bill hasn’t paid and I was due so good thing I checked. When I went to their website to pay, they don’t accept American Express, that’s when I realize that Felix wasn’t able to put me on autopay as they don’t accept Amex as autopay.
Oh yeah, another problem I have encountered is when I put my access code to open the door of the building, it wouldn’t open immediately. I have to put my access code several times before it works.
So overall, 4 stars.
Rented out some storage units today from Felix, the Senior Property Manager. If you’re looking for storage units, I highly recommend this place. Felix seemed to me more interested in making sure I got the right units for my belongings and saving me as much money as I could. These days this is rare and very much the reverse. I’ve bumped into too many people in my time, regardless of industry, that just want to squeeze every last penny from you. This is clearly not the case with Felix. In fact, I was pushing to spend more and he was advising me (with his “storage” expertise) how to spend more efficiently (spend less, save more) while still addressing my storage needs.
Irma, whom I believe is the Assistant Property Manager, was there today as well. She was also very attentive to my visit, listened intently on my needs, and contributed valuable comments where appropriate.
Both Felix and Irma are very professional, gregarious, seem to be very complete (crosses all “t’s” and dots all “I’d”, well spoken, very patient, answer all your questions, know their products well, display and deliver exceptional customer service, and won’t disappoint you should you decide to pay them a visit. Again, if you’re looking for storage, you owe it to yourself, just to check them out.

First time here. Irma Rodríguez was amazing. She was the assistant property manager. She answered all my questions and was extremely helpful. She took me to see the storage that was available. Courteous and friendly. We are in the process of selling our home so we need storage fast and also to know that our belongings are secure. It feels good to know that you can walk up to a place and have people that can take care of you when you need it. Irma set me up with everything that I needed especially since I was on daddy duty and had my toddler with me. Thank you Irma!
Ok , so this post was from the last time I came I didn’t notice I did not post it. Fast forward to today 4/13/24. I came in to store more things and needed another storage again. Marc assisted me with the lease of another storage. He was extremely helpful, friendly and courteous and took care of everything I needed. So far my experience here has been fantastic. I went into U S Storage in Carson to rent a storage unit. I was assisted by Cristina who was the only person on duty on a busy Saturday and a first of the month. When I walked in, she was assisting customers, so I waited. She was pleasant to everyone, even under stressful circumstances when she was finally able to assist me she was pleasant, helpful, thorough and made my experience more pleasant and easier than I thought possible I ended up getting the perfect unit and walking away with more than I expected. That is rare these days and I appreciate Miss Cristina for all that she did I am a happy customer.

I would like to give recognition where it deserves. Ana, displayed above and beyond customer service. Myself and my help arrived in the afternoon on Friday to unload our belongings for the first time after obtaining a storage unit the week before. We immediately started unpacking the haul truck that I rented. 30-45 min after unloading the portion that would go in first in the unit. We discovered that the rental lock as still on unit. As my helpers continued to unload from usual off I went to front office. The office had just closed and Ana was in her car just about to leave. I explained my delima, she said everything was shutdown and alarmed. I asked for Felix but he was not on premises at the time. She saw that I was in a bind and seeing this was companies error for not removing lock. She made a call to the manager again. The result ? On her own time opened back up office , turned off alarms and got the keys from the safe to go and lock unit for me. Thank you so much. True Customer service is so lacking these days but not with Ana. I hope this gets to the right people so they can see sometimes you have to step out of the box to help make things right.

Another outstanding customer service experience! I had the pleasure and honor to meet Felix, the new site manager.
He genuinely makes you feel comfortable and at home so much so that the 3 point exchange (payment, change of number and code request) was done before I had realized.
More companies should take notes of this level of service for customer satisfaction and retainment. I'm a happy customer and will continue to be a loyal customer for many years to come as long as this level of service continues.
Hope to see more opportunities be offered to this young man as he should be used as the example for the company's customer service moving forward as he raised the bar.

I had a great experience with US Storage on Carson St in Torrance. The manager, Felix, went above and beyond to ensure I had a smooth experience moving in and moving out. In the end he actually helped orchestrate and be my contact person for the moving company while I was out of state and not able to be physically present during move out. I don't know many employees that would go as far as Felix did for me. I really appreciated it!

Just rented my first storage unit! As a renter in CA, this unit will help me out so much with having some extra space around my apartment. This location is SUPER CLEAN and all the units look nice and NEW! The manager and staff is so friendly and very helpful with any questions I had about the rental process and I got offered a great special. They even gave me a Truck to use to love my stuff that was FREE to use!

I've had a storage unit here for years, but today was the first time where I really needed some help. I was having trouble with my lock and it wouldn't close. I needed a new one. So far, so good. I just rented a space and have not used it yet, but Felix Huertas, the manager was very professional, knowledgeable, and helpful when I went in to see it, sign the papers, set up process to do monthly auto-pay for me, etc. He actually told me about a special they were running to save me some money for first four months that I wasn't aware of so he gets my vote.
I give US Storage a 5 star cause it's clean you don't see ref-rafs going in or out of so I feel safe to have my things here the people here are nice and polite the only thing it's a little to pricey but if you go on line then you get good deals then it's well worth it yes this the place! I would like to thank Emily and her staff for being very helpful. I needed storage for my daughter and her friend for the summer college break. I was having issues online and called and spoke to the staff about it. They ask for my date and would honor the online promo. We got there and was greeted by Emily the manager and she was very professional, explained everything. She was nice enough to show us the unit prior and made sure we could lock it correctly. It was a chaotic day and Emily was able to bring order back to our lives. The facility is very secure and very clean. THANKS MISS EMILY AND STAFF.

The employees were respectful and helpful
Danielle is a wonderful young lady who personality and smile makes u fell very comfortable. She makes u feel grate about putting all your personal things and property in storage here. I feel that my things will be safe here and I love this place no matter what this is my second time back here. We stored all of our worldly possessions here for a year and a half, and Sophie and her staff were just fantastic to work with! It was easy to get a live body on the other end of the line, they sent forms when they said they would, and they were super accommodating (while still protecting our stuff)! Great place to do business, I was able to handle everything over the phone. When I called with a question the property manager got right back to me. I checked out 2 other places and Joanna was great! Very polite, answered all my questions. This was the cleanest facility and looked like the most secure.
The facilities were extremely clean and very impressive, but that was completely overshadowed by the fantastic customer service. Joanna and Sophie were super friendly, professional and courteous. For all of that you would think I spent a fortune, but I'm actually paying about half the price of my last storage unit.
My review would have to be 15 stars- not just 5.

I had the pleasure of being helped by both Sophie and Reyna on different occasions. Sophie showed me various spaces on my first visit, and Reyna showed me some different spaces, when I returned a day or two later, to actually rent one.
Reyna assisted me with the completion of the necessary paperwork. Both Reyna and Sophie were very courteous and professional! They both did a great job!

This storage facility was clean, neat and the staff was curteous. Like other facilities, this one was well lit and i felt my belomgings were safe. Due to the security cameras in the right locations. There were also ample supply of carts if needed.
I am very please with this facility in reference to both the staff and the environment. The facility is always clean and the employees are there to provide the best customer service imaginable.
Well maintained space and very helpful staff. Affordable prices. Overall, very pleased, but be aware the gate and driveways cannot accommodate a semi/18 wheeler that most moving companies use. Smaller trucks may be able to get through. There are also only a couple of loading trolleys, so be prepared to wait if other occupants are using the facility at the same time.
I have been at this storage for a few years and Sophie is the best she is always so nice and she cares about her customers, this is where you want to store your things.

This center has such a great staff! Steph and Sophie were so helpful and patient with three, inexperienced crazy ladies trying to move a houseful of furniture. Another cart? Sure! Need more packing tape? We've got it. They were the best and I highly recommend this staff and storage center.

I had been storing my apartment stuff here for a good year. The price was great upfront and slowly raised as predicted with the promotion period ending. Despite the raise in price they were still well below the competition in price. While price attracts people it's the staff and facilities that will keep it's customers. To say the least, they are great people, well trained and friendly. Danielle helped me on my last day there and went well above her necessary job description to assist me that day. I'd highly recommend this company and location!

This US Storage Centers location is fantastic. I was curious about pricing and came in to see what this place was all about and ended up with the biggest unit they have. No pressure, no up-selling, just great, honest service with a smile. This particular location is just off the 110freeway and Carson St., so getting there is a breeze. Access is easy and the entire complex is quiet and CLEAN; the restroom is always spotless and smells great; the staff is also exemplary, they greet you, are generally concerned beyond just your storage visit that day, and are helpful beyond words. Additionally, if you are late on your rent, they will email you, call you and even send a couple texts to let you know so as to avoid a late fee after the 10th of the month. I was worried about the city and location of this place but this US Storage Center is no more unsafe than Fort Knox. Seriously. There are surveilance cameras everywhere and nothing goes unseen. Also, I actually forgot to lock my unit 3 times (the locking mechanism takes getting used to). The staff called to let me know each time after they discovered my unlocked unit; they do periodic walk-arounds to make sure each unit is locked and secure for extra safety. Wow! Not once has there been a crime issue there and that alone is calming.
So again, let me reiterate: I love this place, especially the staff; I was recently in a terrible bicycle accident and the staff is just so positive and concerned about my recovery as well. Says a lot. I always leave with a smile. Thanks US Storage Centers, for this great location and friendly, professional and courteous staff. Additional thanks to Sophie, you are awesome....

This storage unit is awesome. The staff is very friendly & helpful. We've had a unit for 6 months now and have zero complaints. The office even holds our packages until we're ready to pick them up. If you're in the area and need storage, this is the best place to go.
The people are great here! Always helpful. I have drivers that deliver packages in and out of my unit everyday. Someone called me from the local office, and informed me that the latch wasn't fully closed on the door to my unit. While it may look like the lock was closed, the door could've been opened by anyone. I have a lot of expensive items in my unit. It's comforting to know that the staff at US Storage have the attention to detail to spot things like this, and look out for their customers.
