Facility Description
US Storage Centers of Harbor City, CA is here to ensure that we have something for all of our customers, which is why we offer storage units in a variety of different sizes. Our storage units start as small as 5’x5’, but are available as large as 10’x30’. We offer multiple sizes in between so that you have enough room to store everything from a few boxes to your entire house. There is drive up access available for all of our units, making moving easy. We also provide moving carts to help you move your belongings around your storage unit. In addition, the entire storage facility has 24/7 video recording and there is an electronic access door that can only be accessed by current storage tenants during access hours.

Conveniently located off of Normandie Avenue on 253rd Street, between I-213 and the 110 freeway, our Harbor City US Storage Centers facility is easy to find and access. We are about a block away from the Los Angeles Fire Department Station 85, and approximately three blocks’ distance from Normont Elementary School.
We serve customers in search of affordable storage units near the Harbor City area, including those who live in the neighborhoods of Wilmington, West Carson, and Old Town Torrance. Our single-level facility is clean, well-maintained, and has a parking lot that is wide enough to accommodate storage trucks.

Walking in at first glance you think..."huh, this is an okay place". Then you meet the wonderful storage specialist there who in my opinion is kind, caring, and the best of all straight the point. The storage is clean, spacious, and has a lot of great deals. *DO NOT BUY HOME DEPOT LOCKS AS THEY WILL NOT FIT.*

I've been renting at US storage on 257th street for a few months and had a bunch of packages delivered to be stored for a project marked as delivered but every time I called, the manager kept telling me she wasn't receiving anything. I did a bit of research and quickly realized they were all being delivered to another location. To be fair, when I placed the online orders, I didn't have my storage address in front of me to confirm my exact storage location, it was late so I did a quick google search for "US storage in harbor city" assuming only 1 existed and US Storage 1239 253rd St popped up and from there that's when chaos set in. I set up the deliveries and assumed everything was done appropriately. Once I realized the mistake I called around a bit and left a message for someone to return my call. The manager Sandy promptly returned my call and unbeknownst to me she was accepting my packages even though she hadn't a clue who I was. I explained to her the mistake I made, we shared a lighthearted laugh and she assured me it would be there for me to pick up. I tried to correct the deliveries but failed and Sandy continued to call me and make me aware something arrived she called me to let me know and I went to pick it up and take to the correct place. I can't thank Sandy enough! She saved me time, energy and money by accepting the packages instead of them being delayed and rerouted. 10 out of 10 for her above and beyond service and quick resolution to my madness! Thank you so much Sandy!!!!!

Sandy, manager at the W. 253rd property in Harbor City, exemplifies excellent customer service. She helped me resolve a last-minute storage sizing crisis (I picked a unit that was too small) before the 4th holiday. Even though it delayed her schedule in closing the office, she secured a larger unit for me, and waited while I transferred my goods from the smaller to larger unit. Her positivity, enthusiasm and focus on customer care are primary reasons that I will use this property for all my overflow storage needs.

Rented a storage for last month (November) and it was great. I mean not the moving things haha But this storage facility is the best!! Esmeralda helped me out and she was AMAZING!! She made sure I got the deal I found online. Even stood late to help out another customer and myself....on a Saturday evening!! She's the BEST!!! The property owner Sandy checked me out without any issues. You can tell she really cares about the property and your property as well! I'm a new US Storage customer. In fact, renting a storage unit is foreign to me, personally. Today was Day 1 of transporting my life's possessions into a humble 5 x 8 space. Leave it to me to underestimate travel time through South Bay traffic! I frantically called in to inform anyone at the desk that my GPS was telling me I'd arrive 15 minutes before the office was to close. I was assured that this shouldn't be a problem. Well as soon as I parked and scurried towards the office, I was met by Sandy (who introduced herself with a huge, warm smile). Clear directions were given to make the entire move-in process a quick, seamless, stress-free, almost comical experience. She spoke fast but was very thorough and humorous. My boyfriend and I were so grateful for the favor she extended. 5 stars for Sandy!

That’s what this place has that no other self storage has it’s the manager Sandy. , she listened , asked questions and she even brought up a concern I didn’t even mention , Ans she had a solution . This place is professional, with a warm and friendly feel. & it was easy , priced right , honestly It felt like a vacation that was way funner then you expected. Best of the best. They are very secure and they have all sorts of boxes and other merchandise in the office. Access hours are good and price is very reasonable. I appreciate the insurance options. I call to see if they had available storage....the guy there name Micheal provided me the information over the phone, the unit and price was right up my alley...he told me to come in, once i got there he showed me the unit, it was very clean and just the right size, he got me up and going for what i needed for the storge unit and gave me the run down the property. My experience with Extra Space Storage is great. Jordan has a great personality, very friendly and professional. The property is always clean and organized and a pleasure to store my things there. I explained to Jordan that I was here from out of town working and that my schedule was very tight and I am extremely busy. What really impressed me with that is out of all the customers that she manages she still remembered that and gives me courtesy calls as a reminder. Its the small things that count and I appreciate her greatly. After I had rented the space I still wanted to look and shop for a better rate and found one but the service nor the property competed with Extra Space Storage. Look forward to continuing my storage needs there great job Jordan keep up the good work!!!
We had to find a home for our camper in a hurry! We called Extra Space. Jordan promptly answered the phone & she had a space! Jordan was professional & personable on the phone - as well as later in person - while she explained dimensions & pricing of the space. She gave us simple directions. I love this favility. It's affordable and the staff is very nice and helpful. (Caroline was very detailed in explaining everything the facility has to offer). Monique has also been very helpful. The facility is clean and they have a flat dolly to help move your things into your storage. The lighting is great. and i feel safe when i go by myself.
Extra Space Storage is perfect for my needs. The staff was really helpful when I was trying to figure out how much space I would need. They took the time to listen to what my needs are, what my work schedule was like and that I very much enjoy being by myself when visiting my unit. They found me the perfect space in the perfect location within the facility. It's very quiet when I'm there which is exactly what I was looking for and the facility in general is always clean... especially the bathroom which is very important to me. I would be happy to recommend Extra Space Storage to all of my friends and let them know they can rest assured their personal belongings will be safe.
